What’s in the way of your dreams? Is it time, money, or health conditions? I’ve been struggling for a while to find a balance in my life to work towards accomplishing my next dream. I’ve been a dreamer since childhood but sometimes continuing to work on my dreams can be challenging, and then it hit me. Steve Harvey said on his radio show that your discipline determines your destiny, not your desire. After hearing this, I figured that I need to find a way to accomplish the next dream that I have been desiring for too long. I’ve been working on it, but I often start and then stop due to life happenings and let's be honest, mainly the lack of energy.
Sometimes after working hard every day, my energy feels like it is zapped from me. Finding that quiet, therapeutic time for yourself is key. I took a break with blogging for a while, but then realized I needed to go back to the very thing that saved me. It helped keep me grounded years ago when I was going through recovery from an injury. Fast-forward to today and it is playing that same role in my life once again. I’m grateful to have this outlet. Not only is it providing the therapy I need to set the tone for a conducive environment and mindset for me to work towards my next dream, but hopefully I am helping others in the process. Don’t give up on your dreams; you have to fight for them. This world will throw every distraction at you that it has, but you have to fight. Drag yourself up off the couch when you get home. With every ounce of breath or piece of energy you can muster up, work towards your dream. Strive to complete one thing towards your dream each day, no matter how large or small. Your life is worth it. It is worth being able to look back and see that you did everything you wanted to do in life. You explored this world and your limits, you worked hard but had fun while doing it. Please keep going (I’m saying this to you as I also say it to myself). I hope this blesses you! Trish

Teach them that curse words are only for people who have a limited vocabulary.
Those are the people who want an adversary. Every day I seek and pray to the most high. So that my soul can be at rest when I die. In life I've learned that people will say things to hurt you. When all they really want is a debut. Insecurity comes from this. Confidence resides in bliss. Overlook them and know there will be things you have to endure. However these are the things that God uses to make you mature. Get back to your father's business. Nothing else really matters; I am a witness. All these extra things are just a distraction. God's plan for your life is the main attraction. Trish What do you do when you don't know what to do?
You've prayed, you've stayed the course but yet you're feeling stuck. What do you do when you don't know what to do? You're worried about bills and feel like you have no luck. What do you do when you don't know what to do? You're not feeling valued, and you know what you bring to the table. What do you do when you don't know what to do? When you're stuck in between a dream and reality, and this world seems to always make you a label. What do you do when you don't know what to do? The only thing that's left to do, is pray and fast and make "you" a priority. What do you do when you don't know what to do? It's never been easy not being a majority. Trish This generation needs to be saved.
Social media sends messages that you can make it off of looks and popularity. This generation needs to be saved. Tik Tok videos promote violent challenges that many people actually follow through with in order to get likes and attention. This generation needs to be saved. Validation now comes from whoever is on the other side of the computer screen and it doesn’t matter if they know you or not. This generation needs to be saved. Depression has increased because so many are comparing themselves with others who share their highlights on social media. This generation needs to be saved. Lets get back to when the only people whose opinions mattered were the ones who were closest to you. This generation needs to be saved. Trish |
