Last month my bestfriend and I went to Orlando Florida to celebrate her 29th birthday. The trip was much needed for the both of us. It gave her a break on managing her new, trendy, successful clothing line, Gwenea Nova, and I was able to take a break from my school job and other projects to enjoy some fun in the sun. I was so excited to catch up with my bestfriend who I am barely able to see now because of our busy schedules. We decided to drive a car to Florida so that we could take in the beautiful scenery around us! This also gave us more time to have girl talk! In life when you are bombarded with bills it can be so easy to get caught up in only working instead of living. If you are not careful you will find yourself in a state of living a life of survival, because you do not take the time to step outside your workspace to enjoy time with the important people in your life. This trip reminded me of the importance of making memories. Work will always be waiting on you to return but your family and friends may not be. There are so many people who were close to me that have passed away in my life, therefore I know that tomorrow isn’t promised. When I acted in my very first stage play I met another actress who always took pictures during our rehearsals and opening nights. Other people from the cast asked her why she took so many pictures and she said, “Because you only get this moment once. The moment we are in now, we’ll never get it back again.” Money can give you options, but one thing for sure is that it will never be able to replace the valuable people in your life. It’s always good to take a step away from work to enjoy some of the things that are priceless. Life is not a fairytale so there are times when you may become overwhelmed with your day-to-day routine, when this happens go somewhere to clear your mind and spend time with the people who matter to you. I hope this blesses someone, until next time loves xoxoxo! Trish
